Movement Tutor


Sarah is a visiting lecturer and workshop leader at numerous UK Drama Schools, Universities and educational institutions.

She is an industry liaison representative and regular visiting tutor of Movement & Acting in Animation at Norwich University of the Arts.

She has also taught at Mountview, The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, East 15, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Spotlight, The Actors Centre, The Actors Guild, Ravensbourne, University of Hertfordshire, University of Northampton, NFTS/Aardman, Met Film School, Bucks New University, University of Kent, University of the Arts London: LCC, University of West London, Staffordshire University, Escape Studios, The Actors Atelier – Munich and ICAT, London & Manchester.

Main topics taught have included: Motion Capture Performance Training, Creature Performance, Animal Studies, Movement for Actors, Laban for Actors, Ensemble Devising, Introduction to Green Screen, Acting & Character Movement for Animators, Yoga & wellbeing.

Sarah is the founder of Shapes in Motion, offering specialist movement workshops and events to professional actors, performers and creatives led by various renowned movement practitioners, theatre companies and movement professionals, including amongst others: Complicite, Gecko, Punchdrunk, Trestle, Toby Sedgwick and Russell Maliphant.
